Battlefield Effects Capabilities (BFX)

Battlefield Effects provide an intense, immersive experience for infantry pre deployment exercises.  Defense Training Systems provides simulated IED, VBIED, mortar, RPG, and Suicide Vest blasts as well as blank firing AK-47, SKS, RPK and Dragonoff weapons.

IED Props

DTS provides realistic inert IED and threat weapon props to enhance live training exercises.  Our inert devices are based on the most recent unclassified IED reports coming directly from the theatre of operation.  We are constantly updating our IED models to ensure the highest level of realism.

Blank Firing Weapons

DTS can make available the most commonly encountered blank firing weapons to add auditory realism to training. Weapons like the AK-47 and SKS produce noticeably different sound signatures than corresponding weapons carried by the US warfighter. Including these blank firing weapons with your training solution is an inexpensive way to increase training effectiveness.

Inert Weapon Props

In addition to inert IED props and blank firing weapons DTS can provide a range of inert weapons from the Middle East theatre of operations. While non-functioning, these inert weapons appear authentic. Some of the inert weapons DTS provides include:

Moulage

Simulated wounds and fatalities play an important role in preparing Marines and Soldiers for the reality of combat in theatre.  DTS provides a wide range of Moulage: From minor level 1 injuries to simulated loss of limb or chest wound.
